Who is Paul Varelans?

Paul Varelans was born in the Soviet Union and was raised in Brooklyn, New York.

He started boxing at the age of 8 when his father took him to a gym and signed him up for a boxing class. He loved it right away and never stopped training with boxing gloves.

At the age of 18, he won a gold medal at the US Olympic Trials, but then he was drafted into the Vietnam War.

He spent 10 months in Vietnam and came back with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

After that, he continued to train but had a hard time finding opponents because he was so good.

In 1976, he became world champion and retired from boxing after that.

Dick Vrij is a Dutch boxer who won the European Championship in the welterweight category in 1965.

It all started when he was eight years old and saw a boxing match on TV. He was fascinated by it, so he began to box at his local boxing club.

Dick Vrij was born in the Netherlands and his name is Dutch for “free man” or “nobleman.”
